Brazil Anfavea President: Automakers Search To Solve Forex Woes -(Dow Jones)- Brazilian automakers are studying ways to overcome the effects on exports caused by the Brazilian real’s appreciation against the U.S. dollar the new president of the Brazilian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association or Anfavea said Friday. “We need to identify and attack the factors that affect the ability of our products to compete on the international market ” said Anfavea President-elect .

Financial Times: China has taken the unusual step of publicly explaining the recent surge in its foreign exchange reserves, the world’s largest, which rose in the first quarter of this year by more than half the total increase of 2006.
