Grupo Mexico hit by forex factor - Brief Article - Statistical Data Included

Grupo Mexico’s metal sales were 12.7 percent higher in dollar terms but 3.6 percent lower in pesos vs. the first quarter of 1999. Asarco’s sales were 4.7 percent and 17.9 percent lower, respectively; Southern Peru Copper Corp.’s sales were 31.6 percent and 13.4 percent higher, respectively.
